Teaching Philosophy
I believe that creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere in music classes is essential for fostering a positive learning experience. By cultivating such an environment, students are more likely to engage actively with the material and find genuine pleasure in the process of musical discovery.

In my teaching approach, I prioritize formal learning methods to ensure that students develop a strong foundation right from the outset. This includes emphasizing correct posture, hand positioning, and technique, which are fundamental aspects of musical proficiency. By instilling these principles early on, I aim to minimize the need for extensive corrections later in the learning journey, allowing students to progress more smoothly and confidently.

When introducing students to new musical pieces, I adopt a focused approach that targets the most challenging sections first. By breaking down complex passages and providing detailed explanations and demonstrations, I help students navigate through difficulties with clarity and understanding. Additionally, I offer effective practice strategies and select appropriate teaching materials tailored to each student’s age and ability, empowering them to tackle challenging material with confidence and efficiency.

Having a thorough understanding of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) examination system, I am well-equipped to guide students through the examination process. With a proven track record of achieving a 100% pass rate, I am committed to supporting students in reaching their full potential and attaining their musical goals.

Furthermore, I believe in maintaining open lines of communication with parents, as their involvement is crucial to the success of their child's musical journey. By regularly updating parents on their child's progress and providing guidance on how they can support their children's musical development at home, I strive to create a collaborative partnership that nurtures the growth and development of each student.
